St. Mark's Episcopal School financial aid program is designed to provide financial assistance to families who, without such aid, would be unable to attend St. Mark’s. Financial aid is available to families with students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Preschool students are not eligible for this program. Grants are made on the basis of demonstrated need within the limits of the school’s financial aid budget. Aid is granted on a year-by-year basis; therefore, a new application must be submitted each year. When awarding aid, priority is given to our enrolled students currently receiving financial assistance. All other qualified, new applicants are eligible based on need within the limits of the financial aid budget.
HOW TO APPLY
St. Mark's uses the online service of Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) by Independent School Management to process financial aid applications. FAST does not decide whether financial assistance will be given or how much to give; rather FAST provides a need based financial aid analysis service which includes a recommendation of what a family should reasonably contribute toward tuition. FAST offers standardized and impartial processing using a confidential, secure website.
To begin the process, please click on the FAST button to the right of the instructions.
The charge for the application is $53.00 and payable by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express). Please note that this fee is non-refundable. After completing the online application, you will be required to upload your 2023 tax documents (federal taxes including all schedules, state taxes and W-2's). Your tax return must follow the submission of the online application and be submitted to FAST by April 1st, 2024.
All information provided to FAST is kept confidential.
REVIEW PROCESS
Once the need-based analysis from FAST is available, results are reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee. The Financial Aid Committee includes the Rector, the Head of School, the Chief Financial Officer, and the Director of Enrollment. Grants are awarded on the basis of demonstrated need within the limits of the school’s financial aid budget. Aid is awarded for one year only, and new applications must be submitted each year. All financial aid information is kept confidential.
